BIOGRAPHY: FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE PRESENT

Abs was born in Enfield, Middlesex (in Greater London) raised by his parents Kay Breen (who was Irish) and Turan Sanvaren (who was Turkish). Early in his life, Abs was interested in hanging and working on cars (his dad ran an automotive garage) and Abs even started a little band.

Soon Abs became more serious about his future instead of dreaming about being famous all day. Trying to get a headstart in the music industry, Abs practised as a DJ and enrolled at Italia Conti Stage School after his second attempt.

Showing great potential in performing and singing, Abs was recommended by his instructors to audition for a new male pop group, which was later to be named FIVE. Abs made the group, which consisted of four other lads, J Brown, Ritchie Neville, Scott Robinson and Sean Conlon. They toured together for four-and-a-half years, winning them many fans and scoring three number one's in the UK.

Since Five's split on September 27 2001, Abs has gone onto a solo career. Abs was offered a record deal with BMG following Five's breakup and is thankful that he is given a second chance. Abs recently released his first solo album in September 2 in the UK and a few other places around the world. He is currently working on his second album, with his record deal in doubt after disappointing album sales.
