31 August 2006 - new Game added! Solitaire
Jeff Schiller has created Solitaire in SVG.

Solitaire is a card game which requires you to get rid of all the cards into there suited pile.
SVG Games would like to thank Jeff for adding this game to this site, its the first game thats been added for a while.
Id also like to thank him and Eric Seidel for making me aware of the problem with the MIME-TYPE.

08 August 2005 - new Game added! Tetris
Jeff Schiller has created Tetris in SVG.

Tetris is the famous puzzle game which requires you to fit various shaped objects into the grid before the grid is overfilled.
Space is created by fitting the objects together to create horizontal lines.

20 April 2005 - new Game added! Q-Bert
Holder Will creates the classic Q-Bert game in SVG.

For those of you who can't rememeber how to play or have never played Q-Bert, the aim of the game is to turn all cubes red by jumping on them, but beware the devil. Holger has documented his work and has made available a "making of" for this game available here: [Making Of]

18 March 2005 - new Games added! The Train Game
Chris Lewis provides a little SVG puzzle game, The Train Game.

The Train Game is a remake of a game I remember from my childhood. The goal is to order the train cars to prepare them for departure from the train yard. It is grid based and makes use of a little SMIL animation.

The game was created using widgets from the CGUI library which have been modified to work within the SPARK framework. The game was created to test the new hybrid SPARK-CGUI widgets. More information is available from the CGUI homepage.

02 March 2005 - new Games added! Simpsons Quiz
I (Dale Ellis) have created a quiz in SVG.
The quiz is on the Simpson and is backed up by a database allowing providing stats on the questions.

16 Feburary 2005 - new Games added! Galactic Pathways
Steve Marks has produced the first multiplayer real-time game created in SVG.
Galactic Pathways is a massively multiplayer real-time game that combines strategy and role playing to form a unique gaming experience. You do not play as a character but as an empire that needs to serve a purpose or role in the galaxy. The roles or "pathways" are open ended and players can follow any path at any time.

The game focuses on community building through alliances. It is very difficult to be self-sufficient so players should form alliances with others for mutual benefit. Each empire should try to specialize in a few services and offer those services for sale to other players. The goal of the game is to build up an empire that serves a purpose in the galaxy founded on a community of alliances.

There are many roles or "pathways" a player can follow. Examples are Commerce, Peacekeeper and Pirate. The main pathways are detailed in the Pathways Guide in the game website and each serves a purpose in the galaxy.

New players should follow the Infrastructure Building pathway. This pathway will get you started in the right direction and lead you into the path of Commerce. Later on, you can transition to a more advanced pathway.

10 Feburary 2005 - new Games added! SVG Soccer
I (Dale Ellis) have made another game as I haven't made one in a while.
You control a footballer who is just ouside the box.
You a combination of the mouse and spacebar to strike the ball at goal.
Get points depending on where in the goal you mange to stike the ball.

26 January 2005 - Landmark for SVG Games!
SVG Games as now reached well over 10'000 visitors to the site.
10'000 is not a great deal compared to some sites, but for a site which received quite a bit of negative feedback as being perceived as pointless I find it a great achievement.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who's visited the site and especially to those who have contributed games, please continue to do so.
I have added poll to the site so I can get a feel of what style of games are favoured in SVG, please have a vote!!

06 January 2005 - new Games added by new creator!
Gilbert Duval create 3 games in SVG and is planning more.
The 3 games Duval has created are Memory, which is the classic matching pairs, Spider Solitare, which is a adaptation of soltaire and Free Cell which is a classic card game.
The games are in french but are easyly playable without knowing the language (I managed it and I don't speak a word), please note only Memory is curretnly playable, the other 2 are works in progress.

26 April 2004 - new Game added!, "Space Defense"
Stephen has created a game in SVG for his College Project
Space Defense is a third person space shooter where you have to shoot everything, and avoid everything except precious fuel!
The game is part of a college thesis submission, so play-test feedback would be appreciated by email to Stephen

It is the classic game of connect 4 which you play against the computer.

The scoreboard for Birdhunt was wiped by accident.
I do have a backup of the scores from a couple of months ago but will not restore the backup.
Sorry to anyone with scores lost, I hope you you will play it again and get yourself back on.

09 March 2004 - new Game added!, "Crashdown"
Holger Will has created his second game in SVG called "Crashdown"
This is a addictive puzzle game. The goal is to remove all coloured balls by clicking groups of the same colour.

Jeff C has developed a game called "Gunship"
Avoid the incoming bullets and shoot as many objects as you can to boost your score.

Holger Will has created the classic "Pipes" game in SVG.
Try to connect the upper Segment with bottom segment by placing the random pipe-parts on the grid.
The more pipes you place the more points.

11 February 2004 - new Game added!, "SVG Cowboys"
Marek Raida has created a SVG Cowboys game which at current time is the best visual SVG game created.
The game has a high score table which allows you to compete for a top score.
SVG Cowboys is a shooting game which you must shoot the bandits to stop them shooting you.
Use the mouse to move your cursor around the shootout area.
Also Marek has released the latest version of the SVG turtles game.

26 January 2004 - new Game added!, "SVG Olympics"
I (Dale Ellis) Have create a new game SVG Olympics
The game offers a top 20 score board for each event.
Use the keyboard buttons to make your athelete run (runs like his poo'ed his pants) and jump ...
Currently only 100 Meters and Long Jump available but hopefully more event will be added in time.

15 December 2003 - new Game added!, "SVG Turtles"
Marek Raida has created a fun game where you rack up the points by carrying ice cubes across the river and collecting the fruits.
The game offers a top 10 score board.
Use the directional keys to make the man hope side towards the fruits.
The game is fully playable with both ASV3 and ASV6a, although there are a few limitations with ASV6a.

This is a racing game made by James Ross
The game gives a choice of tracks to race on against 3 other cars. Steer your car using the mouse and brake by clicking the mouse button.
