Welcome to Next Generation Consoles! We are an ezboard community created for the subject of video gaming, but you can also find other things to talk about here. It is advised that you all read the rules first. The subjects covered are all in alphabetical order:
Advertising
Advertising your message board is limited only to one's signature and in the Advertorium. If a link is not placed in the Advertorium we will move it there. Also, there links regarding racist and obscene material will be deleted.
Affiliations
Currently, NGC is open to no more affiliations. The board must have some sort of video gaming content. Also, inactive boards will not be chosen, and we will be the judge of that. More detailed rules can be found here, and you can ask for affiliations in that topic.
Contest Invitations
NGC will only join contests unless it's proven it will be under a well-moderated environment.
Cussing
We allow minor cuss words, but the cuss filter is on for the more profane. Try your best to limit the amount of cussing on the board. If directed at another member it is considered flaming and it will be modded.
False Links
There is nothing we hate more than when people lie about what a link they post is going to be about, and leads you to flooder sites and places like Outwar instead. These will be locked immediately and deleted.
Flaming
Flaming is when insulting criticisms or remarks are made. It usually incites anger. Any type of flaming will be deleted, and we will be the judge of that.
New Topics
When making a new topic, please do your best to put it in the most appropriate forum. Otherwise, we will move it to the one most suited with or without warning.
Obscenity
Pornographic and racist material is not allowed on this board. They will be deleted.
Off-Topic
Off-topic occurs in topics where the original subject has been changed. We will allow some, but after a while we will divert them back on-topic.
Personal Icons, Pictures, Signatures
There are currently no restrictions on personal icons, photos, or signatures. So, if we find an overly large picture we will ask you to make it smaller, change it, or get rid of it.
Questions
If you have any questions or concerns about something please check out the FAQ for the question might already be answered there. If not, contact a staff member off of the forums by private messaging or an instant message service.
Respect
Staff members have authority. Respect them: forum hosts, moderators, and administrators. A non-staff member does not have authority over people who have a lower post count and ranking, nor a later registered date. You must also show respect for the other members of the board. On another note, try not to be arrogant. It is the self-assumption of superiority over another, and most of all, it will make you look like a jerk. Try rereading your posts if you're not sure of this.
ROMs and Emulators
Possession as well as discussion of ROMs and emulators is against the law and is strictly forbidden on this board.
Spam
Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages. Spamming includes double posts, one-word/emoticon posts, and completely non-sensical messages. We may allow some but try to steer away from this.
Suggestions
We are open to any new suggestions, so if you have an idea do not hesitate to contact an administrator off of the forums by private messaging or an instant message service. However, we will not bother complying with staff changes at a request by a non-staff member and it will be ignored.
Threats
A threat is an expression of an intention to inflict pain, injury, or harm to something. This includes hacking as well. People who direct threats to another member on the board will be banned.
